Today Chase had his 2 month old doctor appointment and he weighed almost 12 lbs!  He’s in the 75th percentile for height and weight.  The doctor said he was doing great and very healthy.  Unfortunately he had to have some shots, he cried a little bit, but not too bad.  He will now finally stay asleep one stretch at night for 4-5 hours.

Nathan is so excited for the easter bunny to come.  This past weekend he went on an easter egg hunt and to Disney on Ice with our neighbors Troy & Max.  Nathan loved Disney on Ice, there were a couple of scarry parts for the little one though.  His favorite parts were pirates of the carribean and buzz light year.

Well Chase is now 6 weeks old and over 11 lbs!  He’s already into his 3 month clothes.  He is still such a great baby and he is now starting to smile and laugh.  Today he had his first bottle, given by Daddy.

Nathan’s latest trick is telling everyone when his birthday is (July 14th) and when his little brother’s birthday is (Febuary 5th) .  He is so proud to have a little brother, he just keeps telling everyone about him.  He has now mastered potty training and is having very few accidents.  We are so proud of him.

Since we last posted, Chase has been up to a lot, and Nathan too.  We can’t believe it, but Chase will be 1 month old this Thursday.  Chase had a circumcision, which is all healed, and his umbilical cord stump has fallen off.  At 2 weeks old he had a doctor appointment.  He regained his birth weight and then some, he was 8lbs and grew 2 inches on his 2 week birthday.  We haven’t weighed him lately, but he is eating so well, we are sure he must be at least 9 lbs.   He is an excellent baby, not fussy at all and barely ever cries.  He gets hic-ups often, just as he did in his mommies belly and he is working on holding his head up.  He loves baby massages and tummy time.  Strangely enough it looks like his eyes will be blue just like Nathan (we didn’t think this would hapen again with brown eyed mommy and green eyed daddy).  Sometimes he gets a pacifier, because he loves to suck so much, and he even puts his hand up to it like he is trying to hold it in his mouth.  Because he loves to eat so much he wakes up every 2-2 1/2 hours at night to eat by making his usual grunting noises.  Mommy is tierd getting up for feedings, but happy her little man is growing so well.  Chase is also trying all different types of diapers.  We have been using mainly cloth diapers, which are healthier for baby and the environment as well as saving mom and dad some cash (www.nickisdiapers.com).  They are different than the “old fashioned” cloth diapers and way easier to use and much cuter.  We are also going through our standard pamper swadlers we received as gifts and recently tried the “gdiapers” – these have a flushable insert and a really cute diaper cover

Nathan loves being a big brother.  He has the best attitude about it.  Lately he has been trying to get Chase to play with his toys, which is so cute.  He is great at getting things for mom and trying to soothe Chase on the rare event that he cries.  He has been busy playing with his Nonna who was here for a week and a half.  They had fun playing puzzles, going to gymnastics, watching movies and just playing around the house.
